Speaker:
Dr. Cory Marsh is Professor of New Testament and Director of the ThM program at Southern California Seminary. He is a four-time graduate of SCS: BA in Biblical Studies (summa cum laude); Master of Arts in Biblical Studies; Master of Divinity (academic distinction); and Master of Theology (academic distinction). In 2021, Cory received the Ph.D. in Biblical Theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO under the supervision of Andreas J. Köstenberger.
Dr. Marsh is the co-founder and host of the Pastor Scholar Podcast and serves as Scholar in Residence at Revolve Bible Church in San Juan Capistrano, CA. He has contributed articles and reviews to scholarly journals including Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, Bulletin for Biblical Research, Evangelical Quarterly, Bibliotheca Sacra, Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies, Journal of Ministry and Theology, Didaktikos, Journal of Dispensational Theology, The Master’s Seminary Journal, The Expository Times, Review of Biblical Literature, Religious Studies Review, Themelios, and Midwestern Journal of Theology. He has also written for popular level publications such as Baptist Bulletin, Voice Magazine, Ariel Ministries, and Word-by-Word (Logos Bible Software). In addition to contributing chapters for multiple academic works, Cory has authored four full-length books, A Primer on Biblical Literacy (SCS Press, 2022) and Discovering Dispensationalism: Tracing the Development of Dispensational Thought from the First to the Twenty-First Century (SCS Press, 2023, co-editor), Recovering A Vintage Faith: Five Fundamentals of Evangelical Identity (Mentor, 2026), and 40 Questions about Dispensationalism (Kregel Academic, co-author, forthcoming).
